By storing digits as temperatures of FILT and using some PSTN tomfoolery, I have develope possibly the most compressed data possible. Requires Heat sim for the laser, otherwise it could be much smaller.

i made it. its in here;1343337. though now im not sure if its compatible tech.

if you replace the filt with cray(bray) and put the tempuratures back, make it tmp to whatever distance you need to read from it, you can instantly tsns whatever temp bray is created.
-
It would be smaller with tsns, but much much much slower as you need to put it through some kind of tube. The temp would be easy enough using portals and ARAY.

@mniip whats zero mode, alt. velocity display? @MC-physics is it possible to accurately impart the tempurature to filt? and is it possible to read from without going through a glas prism like with tsns?
-
@mniip true, but the number of uses you could get out of base-24 is limited as well as making the construction even larger than it already is.

filt in zero mode has 24 possible states, not 10.

from a newer version. i think i get the jest of the idea though. if each filt has 10 possible states then a pair should be (10*10)-10 combinations. so you (or i) could take advantage of this massively with an advanced comparator. i made a Base-2 pulse width modulator based on this concept, comparing two signals of 4 possible states. +1 +1 +1 it's genius.
