    i had a malfunctioning tank that uses DEUT for main fuel, PLUT for DEUT igniter, and BOYL for PLUT igniter. the PLUT tank randomly explodes.

    I tried using BOYL as a gas that would expand when heated by a nuclear reactor, but it didn't work as well as intended.

    oh, good point lol, maybe a nuclear thermal engine??? they heat up a substance (usually hydrogen) with a nuclear reactor (pump+uran) and then it expands and propels the craft, i guess you would have to use deut for this rocket because it is an isotope of hydrogen that expands when heated so yeah
