Zommera, unlike most current factions, has strayed from the easy Gravity-based shielding. Instead, it has formed an energy shielding which can be shattered. This is still a prototype, unable to be used on larger ships due to size limitations.

  It couldn't at first, but I got rid of the Insulation so the entire shield could crumble. And if Protons do make it through, most of their heat would be lost and they'd bounce off the ship armor.

  the problem is that it can be bypassed by protons
