Long range support ship desgined to burn through ship armor. Due to its lack of rear shielding and weak armor, this ship is usualy escorted by a pair of Splinter-Class Destroyers to protect it at close range.

i have added gaps in the fray and it seems that the forcefields work pretty much the same. ill start doing this for all of my ships.

i could space the fray out a little, with 1 pix gaps to let heat through... that should preserve the forcefield effect when on

Ok, no gravity shields, but at least remove the fray, it is an unmeltable, unbreakable and unbernable material which you have to use bomb, dest or similar elements to destroy.

another problem with gravity based shields is they tend to break the insides of my ships. they end up forceing the exot out of the engines and the glow out of the reactors.
