I know ;D I'm essentially an electronics tech in real life. So, thermionic emmision, all the different gasses, ionization, etc. I said neon tubes, because I didn't want to list a tonne of gasses (and couldnt in a title). Also, "neon" signs are many different colours, neon or not. I hope others read this, because that's a great thing to bring up. Thanks -

Now, to get technical on you, there's no such thing as "coloured neon". Neon is neon, and it glows orange. Different colours come from different gases (e.g. helium is brown) or mixtures, but there's nothing you can change about neon to colour it. It's a common misconception that glowy tubes are neon, but only orange ones might be. -

I see the irony as theres a sequence of sparking that makes me think of the type of noble gas that can be known as a neon gas in which you should look at a gas chart to understand. -

There's a simpler way to do this. Spark some NBLE until it turns into plasma. Then, go onto the console and do !set life plsm 999999999. (Semi) Permanent glowing plasma. -
