I finally gave it a serious go and the first two times all my guys died in winter. Once from dehydration. Once from a Wereelk. On my third try i was able to create a functioning fortress after about 16 months.

Yeah, it has so many things, that it taked me 3 months to learn how to play xD But now i can play in Terrifying biome and survive more than 10 days
