A forged bottom end is where the bottom sides of the engine (The pistons, oil trays, and anything below the pistons area) is made from metal that has been forged (hammered) into the shape of the item, while the normal engine parts are die casted, liquid metal is poured into a shaped mold, and let cool. Forged bottom ended engines are stronger, last longer, and can stand higher compression. Racing engines are forge bottom ended. (If you did not altrady tell, but I am a car guy)
