NotAChair 5th Dec 2025I like the concept of using caus in a wall to combat warp. I think I could make a fully destructable wall capable of stopping non-ligh azures with it.

Jimmyfriend 18th Mar 2015MERC isn't a wall. Use it as a technique like the Nanite Wall where it's very low tmp and used to grow shield, that's ok. That's using shield as the main wall, not anything else. That's perfectly ok. Using 200k pixels of an indestructible element that uses up all available pixel space and will almost never run off the screen should never be ok.

Jimmyfriend 18th Mar 2015MERC is objectively indestructible and the only way to get rid of is to get it off the screen, which is impossible if it has a ludicruosly high life. It takes up way too many particles, making most bombs inefficient, and instead of fighting a tough wall, you're fighting an indestructible wall.

Jimmyfriend 18th Mar 2015That and I'd like to rant about the use of MERC. MERC walls usually can be beaten, but that's a lousy excuse to use them. It's a lazy practice, lags saves making them take on my pc easily ten times slower, and no less than five times slower. It's worse for some of my friends, better for others, but that's anecdotal.
