LOLZ is not destroyed and turned into VIRS unless it is completely covered by VIRS. Otherwise, single particles are turned into VIRS, but LOLZ respawns them to keep it's shape.

    this is not aa glitch, LOLZ can regenerate from a single pixel, so VIRS makes is virus, then the LOLZ regenerates

    speaking of DEST ... drop some on the LOLZ in this save >_>

    not a bug, this is just how LOLZ works :P. LOLZ also multiplies when you use DEST on it, other normally destructive elements also fail.
