This has been suggested before, and also rejected for many reasons. People wouldn't necessarily give valid reasons, they would just leave hate comments. Also it might scare many people out of ever downvoting (a good thing in my opinion but ... probably bad) If you are afraid of downvotes, instead we should have ways to moderate downvotes and limit downvote attacks, or just remove them altogether like we did on the forums. -
