thermal rocket by mego-pie
if any one has any ideas on matrials i could use that are less cheat-y than filt please tell me. i started out using qrtz but it would blow out to quickly and i couldn't make a small enough cooling system

Here's an example: id:1775853 it's not complete because here the temp is falling too fast, so you would have to find some balance. -
TSspazz 23rd Apr 2015I would advise containing the core in 5x layered ttan with both uran and boyl contained inside. This way the pressure doesn't interchange with the outside boyle but the temperature does. The trick to this is you would have to balance it so that the boyl on the outside acted as a coolant to the core, keeping it at a stable temperature for ttan. You might be able to do this by creating a reaction chamber for the outside boyl to equalize the temp as much as possible before going off.
