This effect may be the game not keeping up with the speed or a "warping" feature. This effect can be harnessed for creations but can also be an annoyance for some crations.

Absorb wall is already fixed in the latest snapshot. EHole isn't fixed yet.

Skipping through 1 pixel wide barriers can be kind of useful, so there are no plans to fix that (also fixing it would make the game run a bit slower, especially when there are lots of fast moving particles). The interpolation step size is 2 pixels, so 2 pixel or thicker barriers should stop everything.
