unfortunately these concepts are greatly affected by tpt processing order, so insta pipe is not insta in reverse direction. i can guess that tpt processes pixel from left to right and then from top to bottom, so during one frame whole process for L->R stor pipe is accomplished and particle is delivered. But for R->L pipe it makes fair per-frame calculations, and its speed turns out to be inferior...
