clever. That is a pipe of PIPEs, a stack of 1x1 pipes without the BRCK walls. Building the pipe this way prevents particles from changing the transport lane in the pipe, thus particles are transported on regular PIPE speed, which increases the throughput. If you'd use the same number of insta-sprk lanes as you did for the pipe, it would have a higher throughput because it's transport speed of a single particle is faster.
