VONDANIEL! ion engines NEED also xenon gas so they need stored fuel. in ion engine xenongas is ionised that the magnets can pull it then the electrons will be given back to the ionised gas and then they turn back in to normal xenon gas. then the magnets cant pull it anymore! so this is the nearest thing what i gould make in POWDER TOY! sorry for raging

For this engine type, you could fire the electrons straight up and attempt to recycle them?

Ion engines are nice because they don't need a stored fuel, they just need power.

An ion engine shoots electrons out for acceleration, this is a plasma engine with electron ignition. Still a neat concept, could make more fuel with fusion. But not an ion engine...
