    @Beatless123: It's melting the ship because of ambient heat, not because of the ARAY's location. Idoesn't matter where you put the ARAY; it will still melt the ship. Just turn off ambient heat and it's fine.

    ARAY heats everything, what is next to it or in front of it. You should put the ARAY gun more down, so it will not heat the bottom of ship.
