I'm trying to work out how to draw black holes and gravitational lensing in TPT. Please leave feedback in the comments.

@LetsGoToSpace i was originally going to copy a screenshot i took from SpaceEngine that would've been much more dramatic than this, but it would've been a LOT harder to draw. this started as a test to see if i could draw the accretion disc and got a little out of hand.

@Coffee me too ;-; this will look a lot better if i ever get around to finishing the galaxy in the background.. only tip i can give is that lensing "pushes" the image away from the centre of gravity, it does not pull towards like you'd expect.

@eagle92lighting thank you! :D @powderskye it's not meant to be gargantua, this accretion disk is far wider than gargantuas. but uh.. spin rate.. no idea, can't be too high or it'd mess with the lensing.

This looks so much like a black hole from Space Engine. Is it based on Space Engine?

i want to know how to make lensing better...

GARGANTUA CONFIRMED! TARS, what's the reading on the spin rate?!

I'm going to be busy for the next few days and probably won't have time for much TPT, but i will continue this project when i get back. if it drops off FP before then i'll make a new version with a fixed name so it can come back here and you can see it again without having to search.
