So X^2 + Y^2 = X^2 - A^2 = (X - A) (X - A)
The reaseon why it's wrong is because, X^2 + Y^2 = (X + Y) (X + Y)
it's wrong because A^2 is not equal to -y^2, it is equal to y^2. so you get that x^2 + y^2 = x^2 + A^2 and you cannot go from there. There is a factorization for x^2 + y^2, but it involves complex numbers :)
third equation is wrong, you can't have both secondary operators bs negative. If A= plai y, it'd be true.
It's wrong because it's 5:50 AM, and I don't feel like doing my algebra homework right now.
