    @sentinal-5 no, that's not how it works. higher population means more represenitives, which are elected to reflect the views of the people and whose job it is to protect their interests. Popular vote is to influence the represenitives, electoral college determines who gets the big chair.

    sentinal-5, the only reason Trump won was the electoral college. The electoral college is where each state gets a set amount of votes based on population. Winning 51% of the vote in Texas, for example, would give the same electoral votes as 100% of the vote in Texas. The main reason Hillary won popular vote was California, which she got almost 2 times as many votes as Trump

    So TL;DR trump won because hillary supporters live in cities and their votes count for less than the vote of someone who lives in the middle of nowhere?

    why not? I think that many people should be more educated about the election before they get mad about Donald Trump. He won the election legitimately, so people should know and respect that. He is our president, like it or not.
