A radioisotope thermoelectric generator, is a generator that uses the natural decay of ceartain elements (for example, plutonium) to generate heat. Its really as simple as that.

    But making something both outputs current when there's a temperature difference AND creates a temperature difference when current is applied

    Use a low-temp TSNS on one side, a high-temp TSNS on the other, use an AND gate, and you have a thermocouple!

    perhaps you could consider this a sort of 'high power' RTG. like some sort of large scale power plant?

    You sort of can make thermocouples by using temp sensors and setting them to a certain heat, but its not at all realistic.

    That actually neat. I wish we could make something like a thermocouple (or peltier device) in TPT.

    They normally use thermocouples, not steam turbines. But good job! +1
