  Also, just to further cement my science-geek status, there cannot be a white laser. Laser beams consist of light which all has the same wavelength (which might not be VISIBLE light - one could build an X-ray laser or microwave laser, commonly known as a 'maser'), while white light contains all visible wavelengths.

  "Don't use PHOT for lasers" - if you don't use PHOT, it's not a laser (by definition a beam of coherent light - photons - rather than anything else). PROT, GRVT and other energy weapons fall into the class of 'particle beams' (of which lasers are a subset).

  Don't use PHOT for lasers, since it isn't percing. if it "lasers" water, the water vapor makes it almost impossibel for the laser to progress. This is the same for every exploding-evaporating-metling element. Try melting a block of metal. The molten metal slows it down. Maybe this save can help you. id:2225657
