I was admiring SuperJohn's water sprinkler system and reading the comments, and I thought, there has to be a way to make a proper smoke detector. So I had at it, and after some circuit re-designs and tests, here's a prototype. Scuze klunky sprinklers..

    Added vents to suck out leftover smoke and steam, clearing the air so the system can be turned on again.
