Near Future Venusian Spacecraft. This ship is for a universe like The Expanse. Except venus is also colonised by floating bases and cities and gardens. I will be making a version with the interior soon. Human height is about one pixel. Crew is about 30.

  Venus like many other larger factions supplys some of its ships to defending trade fleets. Groups of trading ships sticking together for safety from pirates. Also there is a military threat from something called Kuiper but that is to much to get into right now.

  no terraforming, the floating cities exist at 50km up in the venusian atmosphere. At that height it is the same temperature and pressure as sea level on earth. You dont need pressurised suits to go outside only protection from the acid rain. Most of which has been collected to be converted into water anyway. This vessel and its weapons are built for space combat. In can enter the venusian atmosphere with its balloon for repairs or when going off orbital patrol duty or on missions.

  Also, WHY is it armed? Who are you attacking/defending against? Practical difficulties make Venus an unlikely place to fight a war, unless one party has no alternative (ie, is stuck there, or is aiming for a target that only exists there). Nice design though, it's refreshingly different, reasonably plausible and the balloon is a sensible solution to an awkward problem. +1

  I presume you have somewhat terraformed Venus. Your ship is armed, but it's hard to imagine very many weapons that would be effective on Venus, unless you have thinned the atmosphere A LOT. Massive "air" resistance would slow most projectiles significantly, while most directed-energy weapons would effectively be absorbed by the atmosphere to a great extent.
