    @lordoftheworld, the chernobyl reactor is not actually within the area of chernobyl, it is in fact much closer to prypyat than chernobyl. Please just go do a little research, its not that hard

    MakyG: it would be more realistic if the reactor exploded for the most part rather than melted. The melting was not so deep, it stopped in the Barboter Basins

    Sunny17431: The station is located in Chernobyl, therefore it is so called. If it were in Pripyat it would be Pripyat.
