This is R - pentomino,an early discovered pattern that contains only 5 cells, but that stabilizes after 1103 generations(this number is in most cases small).Also, first glider that it will emit was the first glider ever observed.

    Are you sure this was where the first glider was found? It takes about 60 gens for the glider to appear and they needed a computer for these long lasting patterns; the glider is so simple that it would have been found before computers just by drawing random patterns.
