Impossible. It leads to a small planetoid outside of the Panastros exclusion perimeter, to a facility monitored regularly. The transponder will be traced to a copy the PMC will have to build now. Hopefully, instead of the other automaton.

The machine first has to be taught where the coordinates are relative to the machine and given a scale of reference to align itself. When ready, the PMC has had to build another transponder and throws it through the portal.

The gateway operates by entering the x, y and z coordinates of the desired location. It will then generate a portal to the desired location.
This is why the PMC is only an officer. The mistake may ruin chances of being recovered from this planet. The PMC orders another automaton to reach inside and pull the first one back if possible, and begins calculating the nearest location for a new gateway. The gate itself will need to be studied for a while to determine how to enter the complex information in a way it can understand.
