The PMC is not so foolish, and has built a transponder in its spare time. The PMC grabs an automaton, attaches the transponder, and shoves it through the gate before anyone can react. If the gate works, the transpoder should attract the attention of a Vamperial patrol fleet and they will investigate. If it does not work, the automaton is dead, instead of the PMC (who also would not survive floating in space).
The construction of the gateway is finished and ready for use. The Elven scientists are sure that their their Stone Age civilisations understandings of space time folding are flawless and that once the destination is chosen the Promethean will be able to travel home successfully.
At last, having built everything Ark style, the PMC presents a telescope. Being a mere military clone, the telescope is better than mankind has to offer but far from perfect. Its range, however, is marvelous. The PMC begins to assist with the gateway, directing its construction where advice is necessary.
The automatons have begun to construct the gateway a safe distance away from the gate.
This process takes a few days, as the tools needed to make the telescope need to be invented still on this world, and those tools need to be made with other tools that need to be invented, all from scratch.
The automatons will begin to construct the portal in accordance to pre set commands. The Promethean will construct the observation device. Weapons have been returned.
The PMC begins working alone to build something from the materials, whatever can be expected.
Is the Promethean inside or outside? If outside, the wepaons are demanded retured.
A convoy automatons emerge from the darkness carrying metal cubes containing the materials desired for the observatory and the gate way. The elf returns to the city and the gate locks shut.
The Promethean considers this. It sounds suspicious, as typically primitives speaking of unusual materials end up with radiation poisoning. The MC agrees to examine the materials and assist with the gate, if possible. Giving the gift of a stargate is a godly act, and is fair payment for assistance.
