Btw, hydrogen burns BLUE (it has a blue flame when burning) But the hindenburg's fire was ORANGE and RED. This means hydrogen was NOT the cause of the fire. Instead, the pretty much rocket fuel paint was at fault for the massive blaze.

goglesq no burning blue would mean like 7-8000 C temperature and that would make metal evaporate into metal gas

The way it blows up is actually pretty neat though, and it illustrates your point brilliantly!

The swastika is fine I guess if you want to keep your model accurate. I can't understand why people can't believe this. The Hindenburg was a propaganda tool to show the might of Nazi Germany, we can't forget that.

they would be blue... if the fire had burned intensely enough to bring it to a high enough temperature. have you ever ignited a bunsen burner? you would know that, as you constrict the flow of air to the flame, focus its reactants, it grows hotter - and thus moves through the black-body emission spectrum, from orange to white to blue

@SentinalDualilty The Hindenburg's fire was mainly caused by a spark, which ignited the paint, which had highly explosive chemicals in it, resulting in the fire being started -- if hydrogen started the fire, more of the flames would be BLUE.
