    The fans in a FANDCT can be on the bottom (forced draft) or top (induced draft).

    There is also a FANDCT (Fan Assisted Natural Draft Cooling Tower), which uses fans at the top to blow the water vapor out of the top more effectively. Same princibles as a normal NDCT.
