When the life of SPNG is set to particular ranges of values it becomes white. Looking at the source code, SPNG determines its color from a value 15 times the life, & white SPNG has a life value which when multiplied by 15, overflows to a negative number.

    It's not the white SPNG that expands the DEUT, but the FILT + LSNS mechanism I use to make the SPNG white also sets DEUT to maximum life.

    same ting with wood, setting the tmp to smth very high makes it completely grey
