When the life of SPNG is set to particular ranges of values it becomes white. Looking at the source code, SPNG determines its color from a value 15 times the life, & white SPNG has a life value which when multiplied by 15, overflows to a negative number.

There's probably lots of stuff like this. The graphics code in TPT is really primitive, and subject to overflows like this in a lot of elements. Maybe we'll fix it sometime.

Unfortunately, if you try to save SPNG with high life values, it gets rounded down to 65535, so to use it in saves, you need to modify the life of the SPNG after the save is loaded. In this save I use FILT with LSNS to overwrite the life of the SPNG at the top..

Interesting discovery! I think I can use this in somewhere...

green lava looks really weird

Also try COAL with 100 life.

If you mess with the life value of LAVA, it can change to non-orange colors such as green, but it won't last long.

I wonder what discoveries have the potential to be discovered by pure happenstance....welp, I'll go and test stuff out. +1 btw, never knew about the life calculations for sponge
