Also, you wouldn't want too much of the interior lining to get in the way, otherwise it just muffles and absorbs most of the cook-off. If you want to follow good examples then you should check out Laminat09 or gatpotzi.

Simply thickening the shells and their powder load a bit doesn't solve the problem. They have to be out in the open, lined with coal instead of BMTL and should burn out the sides and hatch of the tank when lit.

Don't cover the shells up with thick metal or coal like that.
