The high-life DEUT reacts really fast and generates more heat so URAN wouldn't be needed and it could be replaced with some more HYGN.

The URAN is meant to heat the HYGN, not the DEUT. HYGN starts fusing at 2000 C and 50 pressure so you need to heat and pressurise it as fast and efficient as possible before your bomb starts disintegrating. (This also means that the larger you make your bombs the slower they will explode because the heat and pressure take time to spread.)

Thanks for your feedback. I will definitely try using INSL in my future saves. Also your save is very nice and viable but I doubt I will use URAN in my saves since I'm kind of cheating by using high-life DEUT lol.

+1 Still experimenting with Sakharov's designs, nice. Have you played with INSL as a reflector? Of course URAN is the classical neutron reflector that also heats up your bomb to fusion temperature when pressurised. I've made a save with the simplest design I came up with so far to start a fusion reaction, perhaps it's of use to you ID:2789914 Keep up the good work.
