    The smoke inside the Machine heats up the Yeast (Popcorn) so it grows and then the portal teleports some of the popcorn back inside the machine to be burnt by the heat and the cause more popcorn to be made :D

    the smoke increases the temp of the yeast so the yeast divides. Then, the portal transports it outside the "kernel"
