for some reason if u put ice with thermite it makes a bigger explosion then by itsself or with metal...the reason i did this is because a tv show "mythbusters" tried this and the same happened wanted to see if it would work on this

    the water vapor creates pressure as it reaches high tempreture and is gas so it naturaly spreads out adding to the range

    How is this weird? It's just ice evaporating at a higher speed than metal melting...

    Its a perfectly normal and explainable scientific reaction. Involving cheese, a box of kittens, and your face. (I HAVE NO IDEA WHY I SAID THAT) but physics can explain whats going on. it not abnormal.
