    MERC with a high TMP will expand when heated until it has no TMP. And MERC is being fed into the tanks. The black hole heats up when it eats an item. Causing more MERC To heat up and expand. Emergancy coolant systems (2 of them) are placed to prevent the inside from melting and and it has an AC system also.
