This is just physics/maths in action. The fact that you've put the BHOL in a circle means it has the largest surface area bounded by the smallest circumference, IOW the BHOL has the smallest area possible to react/eat other particles like VIRS. If you do it the other way around and put a ball of VIRS surrounded by a layer of BHOL of the same thickness the BHOL will very likely win instead. (This is why it's bad to be surrounded in warfare.) -
