    SPRK, although its ctype is TTAN, does not block pressure. The game checks a particle's type, but not ctype. SPRK has less airsealed than TTAN. But, since the SPRK behind it becomes TTAN, you basically have a moving weakspot.

    Because while it's sparked, the game code doesn't recognise it as TTAN. Its type changes to SPRK, with whatever it was before stored as its ctype. And the code handling pressure looks for certain types that affect pressure (PUMP, DMND, TTAN, VIBR etc) but it doesn't check ctype.
