    how about linking a different HIDDEN save when coming back from the nether? it could make sense because 8 blocks in the nether is just one in the overworld, so that could also connect to time, like one second in the nether could be WEEKS on earth and since the nether portal exists, you've just became the culprit of the worst type of apocalypse there could ever be
