    well i dont think lack of control causes it to just spawn dead

    You forgot to control the reactor, it spawns on RACS (reactor assisted control system) i am currently makeing RACS.2 (reactor automated control system), but for now you need to control it yourself, also the temp graph will show when it is too high as well as every light on the control board.
