    for the one on the left if you use nitroglyserin instead it would run very smoothly and reach higher speeds and temps without any malfunctions

    im currently working on a new version with a lot more boring plume, but atleast its kinda realistic (still gonna use oil cause HYGN is kinda useless cause it doesent fall down)

    i talk about fission i never mentioned fusion and all of nuclear thermal thrusters use hydrogen or maybe methane in some cases

    lightbulb gas core thermal reactor nuclear engines and fission fragment engines dont use fusion. you could use hydrogen bombs for nuclear pulse, which would increase the efficieny and lower the radiation load.
