In my mind, this is what the ideal class setup is for an FPS game, striking a balance between arcade-style gameplay and realism. Class names change based on which alliance they fight for.

Having just the two little bullet points for each of the classes doesn't really do them justice... There's a lot of detail not shown here. I have a whole notepad list of equipment and weapon types they'd use.

High customisation FPS games are great, any game with lots of vehicles/attachments/guns/buildings is just fun.

Yup, the Star Wars stormtroopers were named after the German Sturmtruppen. Also, if you look closely at the Star Wars stormtrooper helmets, they loosely resemble German WWII helmets and gas masks.

JMBuilder:Wait, that's where they got the name for the stormtroopers?

woah, this is cool :D

It's also not meant to be 100% historically accurate. One of the biggest inspirations for this was my recent obsession with the "dieselpunk" genre, which leans into retrofuturism.

The Assault / Storm / Shock class was pretty straightforward, though. Allied attack troops are referred to as assault teams, German WWII attack troops were the Sturmtruppen (stormtroopers), and Soviet attack troops were the Shock Troopers.
