    Just tested, half way up the whole initial phase results in saltless water, but the end product won't be distilled.

    I'm not sure what the limit is, obviously if you put the water all the way to the top it's gonna launch up into the condensing column. The chevrons in the tube are there to stop salt water spitting up out of the heat. If I had to guess, I'd say the limit is perhaps half way up the tube. Realistically the only limit is "when does salt water start spitting out before it boils?"

    im a very smart person and i know how to use a kettle to boil water many people dont now how to but i do and so im special
