BMTL from Iron rusts, but normal BMTL doesn't rust. Why?

    The IRON isn't turning into normal BMTL, it has a TMP value of 1 which makes it rust. If you use the PROP tool or type "!set tmp bmtl 1" in console, you'll see the entire thing rust quickly.
