My bad I made this and broke my arm after so no reply. uhm yeah it is a research tech that stores heat signitures. Used for blast, heat, and physics studies, you can use these scans to help make armor or learn about explosions and proton spread or whatnot. A lot of good uses I am sure but I just mastered the art of scanning in itself.
