Is the world made of increasingly smaller and smaller things to infinity. Or is it finite, so that ultimately everything is made of nothing. Then, how one nothing makes things, and another is just empty space.

    i'm really stupid but at small scales it gets really mathematical and as far as i'm aware theres just ambient energy which occasionally forms virtual particles and as for units our laws of physics only go as far as the planck length before they ultimately break down

    true, but there's the Planck particle which possesses the Planck length, about the same size of quantum foam.

    Technically the smallest we know of is Quantum foam, and thats matter. so.
