it's not layered, it has been tested to be effect8ve at over 2000c ambient temps. it's not as good at cooling contact heat due to the speed at which heat travels

titanium is immune simply because it blocks pressure. i challenge you to make this work without pressure-blocking elements. -

I realize now that titanium resists ambient heat so it is helped by that, replacing the titanium grid with other materials will make it much weaker
