Noticed that water equalization forms a curve when flowing through a grid like this

tpt simulates in a raster like motion and it can cause many types of directional biases, it would be cool if there was an option to update random part id's.

Most likely caused by update order or something like that, as tpt does not simulate everything at once... which also explains why it is always the same orientation

Weird. Does TPT simulate capilliary action? If so it might be a glitch with that.

idk and i'm not an expert, but when i turn both the contraption and the save's gravity upside down(via custom gravity), water equalization stops the water from getting to the 1d grid, so i believe whatever algorithm is used, it probably works from left to right, equalizing water height from bottom to top more or less, that more or less defined by a RNG(as shown by the variations away from the save's curve)

It's not pressure or momentum, it works in reverse

true, the FP algorithm truly is an enigma.

must be the way the algorithm is made
