    The Milky Way is around 90,000 light years in diameter and the closest galaxy is a few million.

    I wouldn't believe a nebula captured in such clarity by the Hubble Space Telescope would catch a stellar gas cloud half a light year in size. Most likely in the range of 45,000 light years.

    this is one of my favroit nebulars , pity its not in our gallaxy. i think its in 133 or adroma galxy!+1
