    This has been tested 3 times and with gates removed it can successfully count 164 particles per minute

    If you're going to use 3 detectors, have some kind of stopping point for each detector so that the detection area doesn't fill and just keep the counter running. Spacing them out also helps with the jamming of the detection area.
